In this workshop you will demystify the process of wiring a multi-bulb fixture using a non-traditional, easier method of soldering. During the live class, you will be guided step-by-step through this wiring process, making it accessible and understandable for all skill levels. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to personalize your creation by painting the lamp at your own pace through video instructions that will be provided in advance, ensuring you confidently apply the techniques taught. You will be provided with two sets of differently styled birds (parrot and toucan) that can be used interchangeably plus extra practice pieces to ensure the outcome is perfect.
Techniques: Students will learn how to paint the lamp following a video I will make available to them in the first week of June. The video will cover how to outline and paint the two different styles of birds in the Tiffany style. They will also learn to finish the base in metallic wax and glass paint.
Included in Kit: Included will be three parrots, three toucans and the main branch with foliage. Practice pieces will include one extra parrot, one extra toucan and a base with wiring channels (without foliage) for use during the session. Links to other materials will be provided. Photos of painted versions of the lamp are for inspiration.
