Mosaic art is a strong component of Mexican Folk Art and Fiesta celebrations are associated with jovful, strong colors. This class uses polymer clay to create a vibrant, contemporary interpretation of mosaic art. The focus will be making a mosaic tabletop exploring different techniques. Students will receive one tabletop and pre-cut polymer pieces. We will also look at tips and techniques to make coordinated pieces and other tile applications to use the remaining pieces or further explore the medium.

Students will receive a table and two chairs to make your creation a reality. Multiple kits may be purchased for restaurant settings or gifting.

Materials needed:  Students need all-purpose glue, GEL type Super Glue, black paint and Sculpey Satin Glaze sealer.
