HOLIDAYS ARE COMING!!!

Yikes, I can’t even think about it yet.

However, if you want to participate in the Create Holiday Swap this year, it is time to think about it.

WHAT COULD YOU BRING AS A HOST/HOSTESS GIFT TO 

A HOLIDAY PARTY OR DINNER??

That is the theme of this year’s swap. Often, when we go to a party or dinner, or other event at someone else’s home, we bring a gift. What would you bring? Here are a few suggestions and I know you can think of many many more. So much is determined by the interests of the Host/Hostess.

- Bottle of Wine
- Wine accessories
- Guest soaps for the bathroom
- Bubble Bath in a cute container
- Apron
- Box of candy
- Salad servers
- Gardening tools or gloves
- A plant
- Flower bouquet
- Coasters
- Gift basket
- Dip mixes in a basket
- Knick Knacks
- Place Mats
- Napkin rings
- Napkins
- BBQ accessories
- A lovely serving dish
- Set of guest towels

Here are the guidelines for each entry:

1. You can participate one time in each of the scales of swaps (1”, ½”, ¼”), if you want, or you can just enter one scale.
2. Send an email to Barbara Thornton-Hill, bathca@gmail.com to notify her of:
                  a. Your intent to participate and what scale(s) you will be sending.
                  b. Your shipping address

3. SIGN UPS WILL CLOSE ON NOVEMBER 24TH 

THE PROCEDURE:

1. Think of what you will make.

2. You will send 11 items for each scale of swap you have signed up for. One of these items will be used for future fundraising or prizes on Create. You will receive back 10 items for yourself. You will not receive your own item back so make an extra for yourself if you want one of your own.  Value of your swaps should be between $5.00 and $10.00 if you were buying them at a miniature show or store.  Be sure you would want to receive this item yourself as a swap.

3. Place each item in a very small bag or box with a label in it. The LABEL should contain your name and email. (Recipients like to thank the others for their swap.)

4. Barbara will send you her mailing address when you sign up for the swap. Send your 11 swaps and shipping payment no later than November 25th (US) OR November 15th (Canada).  

•       Return postage is $6.00 for one scale.  Add $2.00 for each additional scale you want back. 

•      Shipping to Canada:  $18.00.  Add $2.00 for each additional scale.

5. Shipping Payment can be a check made out to Barbara Thornton-Hill OR Paypal to bathca@gmail.com

6. Deadline (absolutely NO extensions) for receipt of your swap items is December 2, 2024. 
Packages need to be small so please make your swap less than 2” x 2” in size.
