SIGNUPS ARE NOW CLOSED FOR THIS EXCHANGE!
The holidays are upon us and it's time for all those sweet treats we look forward to all year! Many of us have participated in cookie exchanges with friends before ... where everyone brings a few dozen cookies and trades them and you end up with LOTS of different cookies to serve during the holidays. We're going to do the same thing! But in miniature (of course!) Want to join in the fun? This is how you do it!
1. You can participate in EITHER the 1" scale cookie swap or the 1/4" cookie swap ... you can't do both!
2. Send an email to Janet Smith at janet@miniatures.org to let her know that you want to participate and let her know what scale you plan to participate in. Please include your shipping address with this email. This will help with planning. SIGN UPS WILL CLOSE ON DECEMBER 1st.
3. Get busy making your cookies! You will be sending 11 bags of 5 cookies in each bag. One will be used for future fundraising or prizes on Create. You will receive back 10 bags of various cookies. You will not receive one of your own back ... so make an extra set for yourself if you want them. Cookies should be loose in the bag, not plated. This will allow all participants flexibility in how to plate and display all of the cookies they receive.
NOTE: We have received several questions about whether all the cookies have to be the same. In most real cookie exchanges, they are. So we had expected to get 11 bags of 5 chocolate chip cookies in each, or 11 bags of 5 sugar cookie stars in each. IF you want to send an assortment of cookies, please make sure that each bag of 5 contains the same assortment.
4. Janet will send you her mailing address when you sign up for the swap. Send your 11 bags of cookies and $5 for shipping in time for them to be RECEIVED at Janet's house in New Mexico no later than December 15th. If you live outside of the US and want to join in, you are very welcome. Just contact Janet about how much shipping money to send and how to send it to her. Remember that holiday shipping can take extra time! Shipping by the 1st of December, even from within the US, isn't too early!
5. If you decide to drop out of the swap, please let Janet know so she isn't watching for your swap package to arrive.
