Upcycling in miniature - Make a laundry room inside a detergent scoop. During class we will discuss the challenges of making projects inside unusual objects, especially making an everyday item into a roombox. Discussion will include how this was designed using a laser. Accessories included are kits for ironing board, decorative iron, hanging rack, decorative sewing items, clothespin shelves, antique washboard, washtub shelf, and a quirky Laundry sign.
NOTE: Laundry baskets, detergent bottles, washer and dryer are shown in the photos but are NOT included with the kit. These were from ShopMiniDecorandMore on Etsy, but similar may be purchased from Blackthorn Miniatures among others.
Techniques included: Assembling a laser cut kit, using unusual shape containers
Materials needed: Students will need paint, glue (tacky or wood), scissors, tweezers
