Take a Seat in Wonderland invites you to tumble down the rabbit hole and build a chair that looks like it wandered straight out of a curious dream.
In this playful, story-rich workshop, you’ll create a 1:12 scale chair surrounded by all the delightful oddities of Wonderland, including sculpted mushrooms, a “this way / that way” sign, scattered playing cards, a tiny copy of Alice in Wonderland, and a teacup that may or may not have just been dramatically spilled.
We’ll bring the scene to life with flowers, grass, and plenty of personality, turning your chair into a tiny moment frozen mid-adventure.
This piece is designed as a stand alone miniature, perfect for displaying on a shelf or tucked under a glass cloche like a curious little relic from Wonderland, the kind of piece people can’t help but lean in closer to admire.
Along the way, you’ll learn approachable techniques for sculpting, painting, and adding just the right amount of age and whimsy, because nothing in Wonderland is ever too neat or too ordinary.
This class is great for both adults and kids who enjoy imaginative, hands-on creating, whether you’re brand new or already deep in your miniature era.
By the end, you’ll leave with a fully styled miniature that feels like it has a story to tell… and maybe a few secrets too.
Please pre-paint and prep your chair before class.
