Did you know that Strawberry Shortcake was created for a Valentine’s Day Card in 1972? Soon after, merchandise was
made and she started showing up on our Televisions. She is a classic for multiple generations and desired by so many of
us. My first Shortcake treasure was the Berry Bake Shoppe built inside of a strawberry. It included all of the necessities to
bake up a little shortcake inside the tiny ovens. ~ Fast forward to adult years. I happened to come across a picture of this
and remembered how much I loved this toy. It was quickly decided that we needed this in mini. I started searching for one.
I was able to purchase an original fairly easy. It finally arrived and as soon as I opened it, I had a sentimental moment as
memories started to suddenly appear. I use 3D printers to make my minis and having the item on hand allows me to get
the exact dimensions to “shrink it”. I like to design the items in Tinkercad. It’s a free software that allows the user to create
or combine shapes together. A few days later, I had a design made for the strawberry shoppe and I was excited to try it
out. I eagerly awaited for my resin printer to print the tiny creation into a hardened plastic. Once it was done and I was
happy with the outcome, I went ahead and designed the rest of the little pieces needed to complete the shop. After a little
paint and a few stickers, we have ourselves a Mini Berry Bake Shoppe!
