I took a couple of Create classes recently and I am forwarding photos of one of the finished projects that I sent to the instructor. This is the second class I have taken with Bonnie and I am looking forward to taking her Christmas cart. She is an excellent instructor.

I just finished Pat’s workshop. OMG - it was so much fun! It’s too bad more people didn’t sign up but I’m glad I did. I honestly didn’t know if I could do this. I haven’t done a doll this fancy and definitely never did the wigging. I’m so happy with how she turned out ❤️ Learned some great techniques which I could use again I’m sure.

This workshop was really fun. I look forward to making more hats, but I’ll need to find another display piece 🤣 Cat, once again, the workshop was great. You always do such a good job putting together your classes.

Just wanted to say thanks again for the wonderful Flower Fairy Create Share with Terry Unnold. She did a great job, I really enjoyed watching and learning and I couldn’t wait to do my own fairy 🥰. Here’s a photo of my first fairy. She won’t be my last because I had such fun.
These were really fun to do and I love how they turned out. I was also able to incorporate the techniques learned in Andi’s Enchanted Forest Book Nook class which I took in the Spring. The fairy lights under the moss look so magical I think.

I decided to use a few of my fan steps to make a little library step. I’ll be using it in one of the little library book scenes I’m doing as part of the Create Year Long Challenge. To me, this seemed a little less daunting than the whole staircase since it was smaller and didn’t require the railing. I used Diamond Extra Long L’Elegance toothpicks as the spindles and added very thin strip wood along the bottom for more stability. I decided to stain it and of course, the stain was done prior to any gluing. After it was assembled, I added a coat of Folk Art Antiquing Medium. It was fun and now I am ready to tackle the staircase 🥰

Thanks to Andi Vinciquerra for the wonderful class. I really enjoyed it and I’m so happy with how my forest book nook turned out. I couldn’t wait to finish it today 🥰 Here are a few photos. I wanted to somewhat mimic my fairy garden in the backyard. Hence the little mushroom house and mushrooms and chipmunks.

It was great taking Cat’s class last weekend! I finished my little guy up. He’s ok but not too bad for a first go at a doll. I think his nose is big - maybe he enjoyed the eggnog a bit too much!!

Here are two pictures of my Chinoiserie Room, one before the frame (shows the details better) and one with the frame. This was a class from Samantha Murray. The rug was in my stash, I have printed lots of rugs on velvet paper, and I don’t remember where I copied this one from!

Here are two photos of my finished project from Cat Wingler's class.
The class was fun, and very well thought out, and the kit included everything we needed - even a hot glue gun for the candle drips.
I added a few things to the interior: A "Morticia" doll by Sally Reader (U.K.), an easy chair/stool from True2Scale, a cat from Barbara Ann Myer and jack o'lanterns from Stewart Dollhouse Miniatures.

I took Sally’s Manwell's class last Saturday. It was a great class and I certainly learned some new tricks. She’s a great teacher with lots of patience. This is the 3rd class I’ve taken from her and look forward to taking her class in Indy. The project is 5” square and about 3 1/2” tall. There will be a Japanese Lady standing on the bridge when Sally gets her done.

From Betty Turmon:
While putting together the Mini Cousins Bubbly Bar kit, I wondered how many years I’d been a NAME member. It is 42 years so decided I’d add to the Bar and celebrate my membership too. I reduced the size of the membership certificate I received when I joined and added some of the pins too. I also added a table and chairs so we can sit while enjoying our champagne.

From Michelle Miller:
There is so much going on in this camp scene. There is dad and his son coming back from fishing and showing mom his fish. Then there is the lazy camper, just waking up by the fire. The two hikers fill a canteen, another hiker coming out of the biffy, and a camper tending to his pot plant. There is even a bit of poison ivy growing up the back of the biffy.
Michelle used all 3 cabin sizes. The tiniest one was used as a birdhouse and the other little one is behind the cabin. It is camp Makamini for the mice.

I took the class taught by Bonnie Helterhoff, "Pirate Captain's Quarters Book Nook". I "spiced things up a bit" by painting my mermaid, adding a picture of a ship, and of course Jack Sparrow. All the little extras give it so much character.
