In honor of Earth Day, our theme for April is "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle". A favorite past time of many miniaturists is to look at everyday items and figure out how to use them in miniatures. There are whole groups on Facebook and so many Pinterest boards it isn't funny. If you Google "miniatures from ..." the first item that comes up is "miniatures from everyday items". Clearly, this is a popular theme!
Our Challenge for the month is to send in your favorite repurposed miniature -- whether it is the container you used to house your miniature scene or something you found that works great as a miniature "something", we want to see it!
To participate, please send in a picture of your repurposed item (no more than two pics, please) and a brief description to Kathy Price at price1240@att.net and we will post it HERE.
We have a gift for you so don’t forget to include your mailing address. For the challenge instructions, click here. And to see the challenge entries that we have received, click here.
Create will be selling (sandwich size) bags of laser "poop" for $5 plus $5 shipping.
This is just a sample of what laser "poop" looks like. Each box will be different. Click here to order.
In Create-ive Offerings, Ginger Landon-Siegal is offering a 1" scale rose tea set, Andi Vinciquerra has reprised her popular Bookshelf Magic, and Cheryl Speck will be offering a 1" Scale Fiesta Mosaic Tabletop.

We have upcoming Create Shares on repurposing, too. Our spiral staircase series came from a miniature fan after all, and we are also having a forum style Create Shares on laser "poop".
For information on all these Create Shares, look HERE.
Have you missed one of our wonderful Create Shares? They are all available to be watched here.
If you haven’t dropped in to one of the live zoom sessions you have no idea how much fun you can have playing minis in the comfort of your own home with online friends. Check the calendar for times and links.
Have you looked through our Photo Galleries recently? We have all the past monthly themed photo pages, last year's CYLC, and many student projects from our workshops. Check them all out here.
