The Original Camp Makamini -- 2021

Camp Makamini began in 2021 as a fun summer project to take everyone's mind off the lack of a summer convention for NAME. It was so popular, it became a much loved and anticipated annual project on Create.

The original Camp Makamini designed by Debbie Young was a traditional camp cabin and was offered in quarter scale and half scale.

Here is my finished Camp Makamini. It looks so natural sitting out on this rock. Little people could easily make this their "home away from home".

Here is my 1 inch square cabin. What a great base!

From Michelle Miller:

There is so much going on in this camp scene. There is dad and his son coming back from fishing and showing mom his fish. Then there is the lazy camper, just waking up by the fire. The two hikers fill a canteen, another hiker coming out of the biffy, and a camper tending to his pot plant. There is even a bit of poison ivy growing up the back of the biffy.

Michelle used all 3 cabin sizes. The tiniest one was used as a birdhouse and the other little one is behind the cabin. It is camp Makamini for the mice.

Here is the tiniest versions of Camp Makamini. It was super fun, but wow, what a challenge to keep everything tight and square!

I was a bit of an overachiever and did all three scale cabins.

From Julie Stuckmeyer:

I took the name "Camp Makamini" literally and made mine a camp cabin where I would go with my Mini Bestie (Tammy) and "Make Minis". Naturally by the time all our mini supplies were in place, there was no room for us to sleep in the cabin, so I had to have a tent!
