NAME Day 2025 - The Courtyard

NAME Day

The NAME Day project for 2025 is The Courtyard and is pictured without any finishing. It isn’t much now, but there are so many possibilities. Here are the ways some of our talented members finished their projects.

From Sally Lonn:

Here is my Mexican Fiesta. Not sure about the photography, but I had a lot of fun with this project. All of the hand painting was done by me and every flower for the bougainvillea has three parts. We have many vines in the desert and many have yellow flowers, all hand made by me. The pottery, and the flowers on the front door and by the side are all from the Mexican import store in Phoenix. The yummy food was made by several artists. Thank you to Connie Reagan for the door that I painted and her wonderful NAME Day 2025 project.

From Angela Gates:

I wanted to share some photos from the NAME Day courtyard project that I finally completed. I had so much fun attending the regional N2 event in person event back in September, and incorporating the wonderful gifts that I received. I ended up making this for my mom for her birthday. I was limited in space because of the small terrarium size and couldn’t include all of the pieces, but I am happy about how it turned out overall.

From Mary McCarthy:

This is my NAME day courtyard project. Our First State Mini Club had a retreat day in October where we worked on our courtyard projects, it was fun!

From Kathy Koons:

The inside of my 1:48 scale courtyard is far more interesting than the outside. I treated it as more of a secret retreat. I made all of the plants except for the trees and flowers on the outside of the courtyard. I did add the flowers to the trees.

From Ann Gee:

This is my court yard. The base is temporary, haven't decided what I'm going to do with it yet. This is 1/2 inch scale.

From Vicki Scidmore:

My NAME Day project may not look like a courtyard but if you look closely at Honeyduke's (the Harry Potter candy shop) I have used the 1/2 scale as shelving in the store. The gates are wall decorations. I painted it to match a Honeyduke's table (on the right) and 2 shelves bought from Kimsminis in San Jose.

From Suzie Aguilar:

I built an altered version of my courtyard in a scrubby holder. I love creating scenes inside them and the Garden was meant for this one (with a few adjustments).
