In this online class, students will learn how to use polymer clay to create a variety of fancy pastries and a strawberry topped cake on a cake stand perfect for a pastry shop or a decadent afternoon tea. Instructions will include techniques for layering clay, adding texture and fillers, using pattern cutters, piping “cream”, and clay color mixing. The class includes several specialty cutters and tools for students to keep for future use. Students will need to have an oven to bake, and a pasta or clay roller machine for rolling out clay. A list of additional tools and materials will be sent out.
