Students will make various types of breads from bagettes, italian breads, mountain breads, muffins, parker rolls, knot rolls, roman-wheel bread, croissants and a few others (some of the breads are not pictured in the basket). The breads will be made using silicone plastique molds, as well as some free-hand "artisan" breads. They'll bake, brown, and add texture and toppings to their breads and then arrange and glue the breads inside a basket which they will paint and line with their own fabric. The molds will be theirs to keep and make more breads whenever they want. I will be teaching the following techniques: Working with polymer clays and silicone plastique molds to make various different types of breads. The students will learn how to add "browning" to the tops of breads, as well as using different mediums and materials to add texture. They will also learn how to paint and line the basket with a material of their own choosing.
